Expensive cellphones!
I’ve always thought mobile phones are overpriced and have made a conscious effort to find minimally-priced mobile phone plans, tending to pay-as-you-go in the last few years. But I was astounded to read the following in a recent Globe and Mail article:
Rogers added 97,000 cellphone customers on monthly contracts in the quarter, and the average bill for these customers rose $4.75 to $72.39 a month. That was more than the 85,000 additions that Genuity Capital Markets analyst Dvai Ghose expected.
$72.39 a month!?!?! Since when does anyone need to make $72.39 worth of calls in one month?

Trees and mountain view, Crowsnest Pass In October 2007, I went to Alberta with my parents. I previously wrote about my visits to Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump and Drumheller. The rest of the pictures from my trip are now online.
